10,386 unique collectible characters, with proof of ownership recorded directly on the Ethereum blockchain. Each character exists as an Ethscription, created and transferred through native Ethereum transactions rather than smart contracts, with ownership and provenance determined by transaction history. Launching with 4,337 artifacts, with 4,267 Turtles as the main core of the collection. The rest will be added later, as focus was placed on maximizing each Turtle before adding the remaining animals.

All images in CryptoPhunksV67 are stored fully on-chain as Ethscriptions, inscribed directly into the calldata of Ethereum transactions. The image data itself is encoded and written into Ethereum's transaction history, with no reliance on IPFS, Arweave, external servers, or mutable storage layers. Ethereum acts as the sole source of truth, preserving the data exactly as it was inscribed and ensuring permanence through the network's consensus.

Each image is uniquely tied to its inscription transaction, with ownership determined by standard Ethereum transaction history. Transfers occur through native Ethereum transactions rather than smart contracts, and provenance can be independently verified by reading the chain. This approach mirrors early, primitive on-chain asset models, prioritizing simplicity, durability, and direct alignment with Ethereum's base layer.

CryptoPhunksV67 began from original punk combinations, which were translated onto animal-based characters. From there, new combinations were introduced, weaker pairings were replaced, and hundreds of one-of-one pieces were constructed.

Across the project, approximately 60–75% of the work was hand-manipulated, including editing CSV trait generation files, adding traits to generation runs, selectively regenerating outputs, and performing manual trait and image edits throughout the process. Custom scripts and AI-assisted tools were used to support generation and trait assembly, but authorship remained hands-on and intervention-driven at every stage.

The format extends beyond the original 10,000 through a deliberate numbering system, incorporating Missing Phunks from 10,000 to 10,250, with DystoPhunkz continuing from 10,251 onward, completing the collection as a structured evolution of the punk format. The collection features 1,589 unique trait values across 25 trait types, including 10 Phunk types, 16 variants, and many hidden details, creating depth, variety, and structural complexity. Drawing from decades of punk derivatives, themes, culture, memes, nostalgia, and history, CryptoPhunksV67 functions as a comprehensive 24×24 study of the punk format, designed to move the culture forward while honoring its roots.
